The all-volunteer Riverwalk Committee is planning a 110-foot bridge crossing over the Battenkill that will offer dramatic views of the waterfall at the Mill Pond in the center of town. It will be a pedestrian bridge that will join Depot Street and Main Street and be ADA accessible. “Our goal is to connect Depot Street with Main Street in a way that allows people to enjoy the river and surrounding area from a unique vantage point”, states Riverwalk President Margaret Donovan.

“The Community Thrives program will help boost Riverwalk’s capacity to complete the project”. Please support the Riverwalk by going to clicking on the this link or one of the ‘Donate Here’ buttons . Donations must be made through the ‘Community Thrives’ website, September 21 – October 16, 2020. But donations made from September 28 to October 5 (at noon) will count toward a possible bonus grant of $3,000 and donations made between October 12 and 16 will count toward a possible bonus grant of $4000.
