Improvements and Updates

Jim Hand repainting the Riverwalk sign

What's New at Riverwalk!

We want to catch you up. In September, we had a lovely work day down at the river. Jim Hand came and repainted our faded sign, and he hauled a lot of mulch onto the path. Also helping with mulching and raking were helpful supporter and super hard worker Cynthia Kilburn along with Riverwalk board members Cristina Mansfield and Margaret Donovan. In October, this fabulous new water fountain was installed right by the ramp to the Riverwalk bridge. You can fill your water bottle, take a sip from the fountain, and even offer your dog some hydration, too.

Thanking Donors

We are working on the bronze Donor Recognition plaque with Impact Signs, which is being fabricated right now. It will be a few more weeks before it is delivered and installed on the marble block by the bridge, and we feel it will be a fitting expression of our gratitude to those who helped get us across the river.

Up Next!

We are now looking at making access to the Riverwalk from the Town Green safer and easier. The steps that are there are not negotiable by anyone with mobility or balance issues. We want as many as possible to get down to the river's edge and enjoy the respite. To that eend, we. are looking at finding a stone mase who can design and install new steps for us. It will be the focus of our next fundrasing and we should have more details soon.
